Anyway, I’m going to make this post super short, sweet, and to the point. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS MONTHS GLOSSYBOX! Once I opened the package fully, I was truly in shock. Right away I noticed that an Alex and Ani + Energy bracelet was included in this months Glossy Box! I purchased a few of these as this last Christmas as gifts and thought about gifting one to myself ever since.

I’m very excited to announce that I will be teaching pro classes at Make Up For Ever’s Pro Takeover at the Garden State Plaza in NJ. My first class will demonstrate my way of doing a classic beauty look and then I will end the day with a class on “Business Breakdown”; which will include insider info on how I have been successful as a makeup artist and how I jumped started my Muah Makeup business and blog.
Being a makeup artist has it’s perks! I always meet amazing, strong, and fun women who believe in girl power. I met Michelle a little over one year ago; we instantly clicked when we realized we shared a love for making women feel empowered through our work.

Bliss Spa teamed up with Make Up For Ever in the Garden State Plaza to help girls perfect their pouts with a mini spa treatment before selecting the perfect lipstick shade.
The Fabulips Lip Care line is a fun way to give your lips extra pampering. Especially during these dry cold winter days! I was extremely surprised at how fun it was to do the 4 step process. Cleanse, Exfoliate, Hydrate & Plump!
Hello my lovelies! There is a super fun event happening this Saturday at the Garden State Plaza Mall at the Make Up For Ever Boutique!
I woke up bright and early this morning to make it to a hot detox yoga class. I have my moments of bravery here and there when I decide to wake up early just for a good work out. Today was one of them.
I’m happy I did because I got surprised with gorgeous 52 degree weather which made me sing with the car radio just a little louder.
For those of you who don’t know about yoga; You set an “intention” at the beginning of every class. Mine is generally the same but sometimes varies. My intention is usually to “feel good and feel happy”. Simple right? But boy is that sometimes hard.
Here are a couple of images that really spoke to me today. Hope they inspire and motivate you as much as they have for me.

I know I’m a bit late on the typical “A New Year Ahead!” and “2014 is going to be the best year!”. I finally completed a wish board for 2014 and loved the process. It made me feel good about what life I lead now and what I hope for in the year to come.
But instead of focusing too much on seeing into the future I’m going to appreciate what I have now and hope that it only gets better from here!
I get messages from aspiring makeup artists and girls who love beauty as much as I do. You have no idea how much it means to hear how I inspire you when in fact I’m mostly inspired by you!
It’s easy to forget that we’re the ones in charge of our own happiness and 100% capable of changing our lives. This is just a little reminder.
Only in the last two years have I fallen in love with the idea of working out. Not because of how skinny I get but because of how strong I feel.
Negativity will always show up to challenge you. Step right through the drama and keep on walking!
Try to do something different everyday. Try a new lipstick, do a scary yoga pose, or be 100% honest with someone. Stepping out of my comfort zone has never left me with feeling anything but pure excitement.
For the love I hope to keep for 1000 years <3
Because the next year to come, Will always be better than the last.
If you read my post “Brunette Color Inspiration” you know I was toying with the idea of change. My hair has lived in many colors and I’ve been a dark brunette for a while now. Naturally my hair is a medium ash brown so as soon as my roots start to grow you see where the vibrancy of “Soft Dark Mahogany Brown” begins.
After many months of discussion in my head I decided to take the plunge! But where to start? I color my hair at home from a box and haven’t had a “colorist” since I was blonde. So finding a salon that I could trust was going to be an issue.
With a random act from the hair gods my sister makes an appointment for a haircut at Muze Salon in New York City and asks if I wanted to come along. After reading many positive reviews online, I held my breath and made an appointment for a haircut and half of head of highlights.
I was immediately impressed by the decor as I walked through the doors. The shop isn’t too small but still has a boutique feeling.Trendy and cool are the words that come to mind; But everyone is so welcoming and nice.
I’m paired up with Liz after being offered coffee and tea and we have a pretty thorough consultation. I explain what I believe will help her know what I want in a hair cut and go on and on explaining the shades that I think may best bring out my eyes. And she gets right to work explaining everything in ways that made me feel 100% comfortable. We talk and have great conversation but not too much conversation where I can’t casually read a magazine.
Fast forward to the end of my appointment – I’m blown away! She corrected my bangs that I had contemplated cutting off and dusted off my split ends. My highlights started to peek through as she gave me a blowout that somehow made my hair the softest it’s ever been. Highlights that are 1-2 shades lighter than my hair is what I asked for and she gave me exactly that! My light brown eyes matched my highlights making them just a tiny bit more golden and I secretly had the urge to dance.
I very nicely thanked her for a great hair makeover and sashayed my way out of the shop feeling like a better version of myself!

I have spent a good chunk of my life blonde. I know, hard to digest when you’re looking at someone who is very brunette. But I was, For over 2 years! I had one of those “I need to shed everything and change my life” moments and decided brunette was the new me.
But of course, like a ticking time bomb I’m getting the itch to try something new. I want to stay a brunette but want to add some highlights or maybe just give it a nice gloss. Then I started doing some research. How can us brunettes change our look but stay brunette?
I found a great selection of pics and thought I’d share. Maybe you’re in a hair rut too 😉
And just for fun, Here’s what I looked like as a blonde!
Maybe one day I’ll go back! But for now, I’m happy as a brown haired girl 🙂
